Role Overview


Our client is looking for a skilled Server Support Specialist to provide the specialist expertise to facilitate and execute the installation and maintenance of system software such as operating systems, data management products, office automation products and other utility software.


The role is responsible for the technical support of all server equipment rooms across the our client’s estate. This includes responsibility for over 500+ physical and virtual servers , 200+Tb on­line storage, and 70+Tb of back­up storage and the server Operating Systems (Windows, UNIX and Linux) deployed on the servers. The role is also responsible for some 600+ remote access users connecting via Citrix.


Experience Required: 


Extensive experience of managing large server estates (physical and virtual) in a demanding 24×7 environment. Good experience of providing 2nd/3rd line support and resolving incidents to agreed SLAs.

Important Information:


Due to the nature of the work undertaken by the client, candidates will be required to undertake baseline vetting.  Therefore, any applicants must have the permanent right to live and work in the UK and have been a resident in the UK for at least the past 5 years.
