The Journey So Far
In 2008 the three founders – David Judge, Simon Kemp and Martin Rohan – decided to realise their ambition to create and run a recruitment consultancy based on their own business and personal principles.
A business plan was formulated and assessed (and continually reassessed) by the founders, drawing on their combined experience of thirty years in the recruitment industry. The business plan was then road tested with a trusted friend and advisor who is a Managing Director at a leading Venture Capital firm. Not only did the trusted advisor constructively critique the business plan, he then decided he would privately invest in it and has subsequently become our Non-Executive Chairman. With funds raised for initial capital investment the ambition became a reality as the three founders tendered their resignations and began a very busy period of preparing the business for launch.
Connected Consulting commenced trading on January 5th, 2009. The first six months were always going to be crucial with the Founders self-funding the business for this period. Through a huge level of effort and determination aligned with a very loyal Client and Candidate base we exceeded our forecast and by month six the business was self-sufficient.
In October, 2009 the Connected Consulting Interim Business was launched. In the same month we agreed a three year lease on a new office and moved into a newly renovated office building in February 2010. In March 2010 we made our first hire – Mary – our invaluable Financial Administrator. This was followed in September 2010 by James Murdoch, a rising star in an Associate Consultant role.

The Connected Brand
Our Brand is of huge importance to us. At this stage the brand is centered around the Founders. It is important to us that our brand continues to reflect our personal and business ideals as Connected Consulting grows into a larger company. We have thought long and hard about our Mission Statement and brand values.

Four values which are core to our personal and business beliefs:
Open - We are clear with our Clients and Candidates. If we have the ability to deliver for you we’ll communicate this, if not, even though its harder to do, we will tell you.
Communication - We are proactive, we strive to call people before they call us, we facilitate, we meet, we communicate.
Partnership - We act in the best interests for both the Candidate and the Client. We meet and build true partnerships and understand personal and commercial motivations.
Consistency - We are passionate about our quality and delivery of service. We understand that a consistent approach will build strong, long-term relationships.
